<p>China Mobile International Brazil is seeking a <strong>Tax Executive</strong> to join our growing team in Brazil. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting the company’s tax activities, ensuring accurate tax calculations, compliance with Brazilian tax regulations, timely submission of tax obligations, and proper management of tax-related documentation and processes.</p><p>The Tax professional will work closely with internal departments, external accounting firms, clients, vendors, and government authorities to ensure tax compliance, support business operations, and identify solutions to tax-related matters.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Work Location:</strong> Paulista Area, São Paulo</p><p><strong>Work Model:</strong> 100% On-site</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform tax calculations and verify assessed taxes, including ICMS, ICMS-ST, IPI, PIS, COFINS, ISS, DIFAL, IRPJ, CSLL, FUST, FUNTTEL, and withholding taxes, requesting corrections whenever necessary. </li><li>Prepare and submit ancillary tax obligations, such as GIA, SPED Fiscal, EFD Contributions, DCTF, DIRF, among others. </li><li>Collaborate with external accounting firms throughout the tax assessment process by providing accurate and timely information and documentation. </li><li>Support internal and external audits by gathering, reviewing, and providing all required documentation and information. </li><li>Keep tax clearance certificates up to date to support participation in public tenders and ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements. </li><li>Issue, review, and submit to clients invoices related to services, goods, rentals, imports, exports, and telecommunications. </li><li>Record and approve incoming invoices, verifying tax information and fiscal classifications, including CFOP, NCM, and CST. </li><li>Prepare tax payment slips, such as DARF, DARE, DARJ, and GNRE, among others, in coordination with the central payments team. </li><li>Validate tax and fiscal information related to REIDI. </li><li>Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closings and directly perform the tax closing process, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of the information. </li><li>Maintain relationships with government authorities, including the Receita Federal, SEFAZ, City Halls, and other relevant government agencies. </li><li>Provide tax support to other departments by addressing and clarifying tax-related questions from employees, vendors, and clients. </li><li>Participate in internal projects by providing tax guidance and proposing solutions to ensure tax compliance and operational efficiency. </li><li>Prepare and submit IBGE reports on an annual basis, DICI reports on a monthly basis, and CODEF reports on a semi-annual basis. </li><li>Coordinate the tax and fiscal procedures related to the nationalization of imported services and products, ensuring compliance with applicable Brazilian tax and regulatory requirements. </li><li>Organize and maintain reports and records of all invoices issued by the company. </li><li>Coordinate and follow up on tax-related matters with related parties and internal/external stakeholders. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements </strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. </li><li>Previous experience with direct and indirect tax assessment, including ICMS, IPI, PIS, COFINS, ISS, IRPJ, CSLL, and other applicable taxes. </li><li>Proficiency in preparing and submitting ancillary tax obligations, including GIA, SPED Fiscal, EFD Contributions, DCTF, and DIRF. </li><li>Solid knowledge of fiscal classification, including CFOP, NCM, and CST. </li><li>Experience issuing, reviewing, and recording incoming and outgoing invoices. </li><li>Experience with tax and fiscal processes related to imports and exports is preferred. </li><li>Up-to-date knowledge of the Brazilian Tax Reform and its potential impacts on the company’s operations. </li><li>Fluent in English and Portuguese.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><em>Note:</em></p><p><em>• Position offered shall be determined by the candidate’s years of relevant experience and skillsets.</em></p><p><em>• All personal data collected will be used for recruitment and employment-related purpose only.</em></p>
